Terms of Service

These Terms apply when you use roddytechnologies.com, Roddy and the Roddy Labs workspace at roddylabs.com (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

RShopRefill, our digital products marketplace, has its own Terms of Service, which apply when you use it.

The Services are operated by Roddy Technologies LTD, registered in Nigeria (RC 9385422), with its registered office at 5 Tetlow Road, Njemenze, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. When these Terms say "we", "us" or "our", they mean Roddy Technologies LTD.

Through the Services you can learn about Roddy Technologies and its products, ask Roddy questions, contact our team, and, with an account, follow the work we do with you in the client workspace: discoveries, proposals, quotes, projects and meetings.

We may change, add to or stop parts of the Services. Where a change affects work we are doing for you under a quote you have accepted, the quote governs that work.

To create an account you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and you must give us accurate, current information. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

You sign in with a one-time code that we send to your email address or phone number. Keep access to them secure and do not share your codes with anyone; our team will never ask you for one.

If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that service, as their sign-in screen shows you.

Work we do for you, such as building a website, an application or a business system, is described in a proposal and priced in a quote. When you accept a quote, its scope, price, payment milestones and timeline apply to that work alongside these Terms, and the quote takes priority where the two differ.

Payments for project work are made as the quote sets out. This website does not take card payments.

Roddy is an assistant that answers questions about Roddy Technologies, our products and our services, and helps you describe a project. Its answers are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. They are not professional, legal or financial advice, and they do not bind us to a price, a scope or a timeline; only a quote you accept does.

Do not share passwords, payment card details or other sensitive information with Roddy. How we handle your conversations is set out in our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to:

• use the Services for fraud or any unlawful purpose;
• give false information or pretend to be someone else;
• access another person's account, or try to get around our security or limits;
• disrupt the Services, overload them, or scrape, copy or reverse-engineer them;
• use Roddy to produce unlawful, harmful or misleading content, or try to make it reveal how it works;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account and, where the law requires, report it to the authorities.

The Services, including our names, logos, designs, illustrations and text, belong to Roddy Technologies LTD or our licensors. You may use the Services for their intended purpose, but you may not copy or reuse them without our written permission.

Who owns the work we build for you is set out in your quote or project agreement.

The Services link to and work with services we do not control, such as Google and GitHub sign-in and the RShopRefill site. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.

We work to keep the Services available and accurate, but they are provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that they will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service the claim relates to. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

We may suspend or close your account, or limit your access, if you breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Services and the people who use them. You may stop using the Services at any time, and you can ask us to close your account by writing to hello@roddytechnologies.com. Some records may be kept after closure where the law requires.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your home country. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue quickly and fairly before taking any formal action.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
